Extended Day

Kindergarten
KG teachers work with 4th & 5th grade extended day students on ELA and Math.
Grade 1
Targeted to at risk children/hold-over’s. Small groups only. Subject for instruction varies between ELA and Math over the course of the year. ELA instruction may include instruction in word study, word games and small guided reading groups reinforcing decoding, fluency and comprehension strategies. Math instruction may include games, word problems, attention to vocabulary and computation.
Grade 2
Targeted to at risk children/hold-over’s. Small groups only. Subject for instruction varies between ELA and Math over the course of the year. ELA instruction may include instruction in word study, word games and small guided reading groups reinforcing decoding, fluency and comprehension strategies. Math instruction may include games, word problems, attention to vocabulary and computation.
